My Cowboy Hat Pattern. This took me quite a few days but that was probably because I was making it up as I was going along. You will need one skein of yarn in any color (I used Pound Of Love so I could make as many as I liked) and a H hook. The Top: Chain four. Slip stitch fourth chain from hook and chain three. Double crochet eleven times in the ring you have made. Slip stitch at the top of the chain three stitch. chain three. double crochet in the same stitch and two double crochet in the rest of the stitches. Slip stitch at top of chain three stitch. Chain three. two double crochet in the next stitch and one in the next till you reach the chain three stitch. Slip stitch at the top of it. Chain three. Double crochet in the next stitch and two double crochet in the next stitch. So the pattern is two and two in one and then three and two in one and then four and two in one and so on until you have finished six and two in one. Slip stitch at the top of chain three stitch. The Body: Chain one. Single crochet around and slip stitch in the first single crochet. Do this fifteen times. The Brim: Row One. Chain one. Now you will use the pattern that you used for the top of the hat so you will single crochet seven stitches then two single crochet in the same stitch. Chain one. Row Two. Single crochet around and slip stitch in the first sc. Repeat from * seven times except keep increasing Row One by one every time you do it. Fasten off and weave in the ends. If you want to the band chain ninety and slip stitch in the first chain you made or chain ninety-one and single crochet across chain one and single crochet across and slip stitch it together and weave in the ends.
